Many manufacturers are constantly reducing the weight of their materials to reduce cost but try to convince you that they are
doing it to reduce weight. Think about it! If it sounds too good to be true, it's probably not. Only look for units that are
at least a minimum of 18 oz, do not be fooled by a marketing ploy.
Even though all materials may look alike, materials with the same weight can have a very different tear resistance index. This is a very important technical aspect you should talk to your games provider about. Tear resistance is fundamental considering the kind of stress your games will endure with daily usage. The material Inflatable Depot uses has one of the highest tear resistance ratings in the world and exceeds industry standards and governmental regulations.
Seams
Double and quadruple seams with seam covers have become common in this industry. Almost all manufacturers use them when putting games together. However, nobody gives you a little piece of information: how resistant is the thread used for those seams? Our seams are done using thread that can withstand great force (17 kg) before tearing.
Reinforcements
Our years of experience in Indoor Center games, where games are used 7 days a week, have allowed us to use all that knowledge to make all our tougher and more durable. In all inflatable games there is what we call 'high stress points'. These points may be access areas, floor and column joints or wherever structure panels meet. A well built inflatable game will have a special Treatments in those areas through strong reinforcements that will allow those high stress points hold the game together and make it last longer. Many times, certain units will last longer than others thanks to smart engineering: knowing where to place reinforcements instead of blindly stitching the game together.
Double Layer
Not only do indoor games need special reinforcements, but most of our indoor units feature highly detailed printed graphics and we have developed a double layer of clear vinyl that shows off the detail yet protects it from premature wear and tear.
Tether Points
Anchor points are one of the keys to a safe inflatable game. These points hold the game during play and are designed to keep the unit stable up to a 20mph wind. They are constructed of nylon webbing, the same used in seatbelts and true "D" rings. They are sewn to the game in such a manner that prevents pull out or separation from the game during load.
Inflation/Deflation System
The inflation
system is comprised by the inflation hose where the blower is connected. This conduct has to have a perfect joint
system so it won't ever become detached from the blower, even when being pulled around. In the case of big units, the game should
also have additional hoses if the design so requires. Deflation is very important, not only in packing a game, but also with
regard to participant safety. In the case of a blower failure, the unit should stand for enough time in order to allow participants
an orderly exit from the game. All Inflatable Depot games have an air block system in
their hoses that prevent air from blowing out of the unit in the case of blower failure. When deflating a game, a good quality game
should have, as all of our units do, a double safety feature with high quality deflation zippers and Velcroİ sealed zipper covers.
